One of my friends is saying that any grade of staff in Microsft is traveling first class to everywhere in the world.

I really doubt that any MS employee can book first class travel. Most companies even make executives pay the extra fare for first or business class.

If you are a senior level employee you can book a first-class ticket anytime.
If you are a mid-level employee you can book a first-class ticket on flights over a certain duration (i.e. 5 hours or longer domestic flights, 6 hours or longer International flights).
If you’re not a manager or are not a high-ranking employee you can only book economy class.
However many of Microsoft’s employees that travel, travel a LOT and have status with their preferred airlines, so they get free upgrades to first class no matter what ticket they buy.
